How To Deal With Someone Who Is Never Wrong

Oct 31, 2018

Have you dealt with someone who thinks that they're never wrong and they usually don't apologize for anything?

This can be so frustrating!

But you know what?

It's okay. Give yourself permission to be frustrated. Allow those emotions. But don't throw those emotions on top of the situation.

So what do I mean by that?

Feel them in your body, but take a moment to not say something to this person.

Take a step back. Communicate to them that, "You know what? I need a moment to myself. Because I'm not going to be responding to you in a way I really want. So I'm going to remove myself from this situation, and I will communicate to you when I'm ready to reevaluate this conversation and get back to what we were talking about."

Know that it's okay to give yourself that space.

You can also practice resilience, so that when people have these personalities that we don't really agree with, we don't let it get to us as much.

There are all sorts of techniques and meditations out there that you could choose to do. I've been using the Wim Hof method, with the cold showers and a specfic breathing technique, to build resilience.

It's good to take time to do things that help us when we're in stressful situations to not completely get emotional and wrapped up in these situations; to create a separation.

If you need a place to work through these different kinds of techniques to build resilience and feel like you're not alone, you can join me and other link-minded women in the Nourishing Nook.

Come in, join us and let me know how you're building resilience. Know that you're not alone, and that I totally get it.
